Welcome to the Bates Memorial High School of SDA!
The Bates Memorial High School (BMHS) was established as an intermediate school in 1948, and given its current name in 1951. Our school is one of the longest existing educational institutions in Sangre Grande. Under the motto "Light & Truth", BMHS is dedicated to not only giving its students the academic competences but also teaching them of their individual responsibility to be a light in their social and professional spaces by presenting them with the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ. At BMHS, each student is uniquely special and is encouraged to seek the purpose that God has established for his/her life. With a balanced curriculum, BMHS prepares each student for success on life's journey.
